Kas-Antalya, Turkey
Welcome to the Kas-Antalya Community, Turkey
Kas is situated on the Mediteranean coast of Turkey and enjoys hot summers and mild winters. The geography ranges from tranquil stony beaches and coves around the coast to 2500m peaks and plateaus half an hour inland. The small town of Kas has retained its rustic charm whilst still catering for the demands of the adventurous European tourist. Popular sports include kayaking, sub-aqua diving and paragliding.
My wife, Juliet, and I moved here at the end of 2004 and had a house built in a valley 20 minutes away from Kas. We wanted a change of lifestyle in a warm climate with good food and friendly folk and also to indulge in a bit of off road riding. Kas ticked all the boxes.
The following pictures illustrate the variety of scenery and riding available in the Kas area;
We are not a busıness but like to meet fellow travellers on both two wheels and four. We can offer secure parking and comfortable accommodation wıth hot showers. Juliet is also an excellent cook. You will need to be dog friendly, however. We have seven of the blighters, six of which were rescued from fairly miserable circumstances. Should you require information about the area or help / a rideout when you are in the area then please contact us through the Community system.
Ride safe.

Any insurance broker should be able to provide you with comprehensive insurance "tam kapsamlı sigorta". I only ever bother with the basic insurance as required by law. When are you in Kas? It would be nice to meet up.

Hi Luc,
Nice to hear from you. We have just returned from a four week tour around Eastern Europe so sorry for the late reply.
We are a bit tied up with kids and other bits and pieces at the moment and therefore I don't have many spare days. If you do come to Kas let me know and we can maybe meet up.
Best wishes,
David

Hi,
We are two Canadians travelling by Vstrom 1000 in Europe, eastern Europe, Turkey etc. our web blog http://vstromadventures.blogspot.ca details our adventures.
We will be travelling in Turkey again (Hooray!) from mid June (13th) to end of June this year and planning on travelling to Marmaris from Rhodes. We travelled Troy, Istanbul, Bandirma, Cappadocia, Olu Deniz, Bodrum, Kas, Selcuk, Pammukale, etc etc. previously.
It would be great to meet other like minded travellers while on our way, but even if you could advise what areas you would recommend seeing, a good place to stay, and definitely a place where I could get tires replaced reasonably and with care.Thanks for any advice you can provide, in advance!
