Sorry to hear this Bernardo and I hope you get it back. To post photos click the attachment link which is the paperclip above and upload them, also details such as chassis and engine number, colour, extras and any distinguishing marks might help find it.

bike stolen
Hola Bernardo, sorry to hear about your loss.
Pls give us more information about your bike, as Mark said. If you know people in the media industry, ask them to do a little report about your bike (and what it means to you) and maybe offer a reward.
Dont give up, try whatever you can to get it back. But first of all go to the police (I guess you did this already) and the media.
Last week I talked to a friend of a friend here in Switzerland and he had his 83 Tenere stolen twice and he always got it back, because he installed a hidden switch so without activating this switch the thieves could not start (kickstart) the bike and just dumped it somewhere.
I had my bike stolen in 2010 in Syria, and only because I could not get any media attention I could not get it back. But it was also my fault, it was not properly locked, parked in the wrong place outside a hotel and of course I did not have a hidden switch.
It is on my agenda to put hidden switches onto my four bikes.
Good luck with getting your bike back.

Sorry to hear this Bernardo, always bad to hear that some people think they can just take what you have worked hard to get and what represents so much emotion to you. I hope you get it back!
Not being nasty about this but for the benefit of others, it would be useful to know what security you used and how the thieves got past it?

So sorry to hear about your loss, mate. I live in Lagos in the southwest. I'm shocked to hear about this because theft is rare in this country.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
