I believe it's only the dinners that you can pay for. There are places to eat breakfast & lunch in the town of Nakusp, unless you want to bring cooking gear.

Pytheas has it right re Nakusp -- for why the meetings are different - it's always something different - I don't think we have two identical anywhere! In Nakusp there are plenty of good restaurants within a short walk, in California there's nothing within hours riding time... and the local caterer is awesome too!
In Portugal they think dinner starts at 10:00 pm, so we do that a little differently too (I'm starving by that time...) and in the UK we're in a pub so you eat whenever you like and no need to pre-book!
see you in Nakusp!

Riding from Ontario
Is there anyone riding out from Ontario? I would like to ride out there with a couple other bikes.

Just wanted to say thanks to Ekke, Audrey, Grant and Susan and all the volunteers and presenters who helped make the the HU meeting a success. Once again it was a great event, fun was had by all. Excellent presentations, good riding and great company made it memorable.
Cheers,
Jordan.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
