First, I want to apologize for my POOR english. And also notice that I don't know a word in italian...
I am not sure to be able to make that mod only reading the text. I think it is necessary to view the pictures.
Go on:
Nicola Mrakovcic, from Croatia, have built with his own tank a bigger one (20 liters), using a metal sheet, welder and dexterity! The result is similar to the original tank, except for its capacity.
Nicola built it following these steps:
1. Cut the upper part of the original tank, that will become the upper part of the new one.
2. Take the sheet ans cut the new part of the tank.
3. Weld the new part to the old tank ones.
4. Paint all.
IMPROVING IT
Nikola has not used some substance to protect the inside part of the tank, but varnishes exist for that purpose.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS ...

No, it's upgraded original KLE tank.
(I upgraded original tank because I wanted to have a bigger tank for my 2006. Russia trip.
I've tried to put a tank of Africa on KLE, too, but this is nearly impossible because they have different chassis)

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
