Transporting the bike from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan?
Hi all,
Interesting thread.
Currently looking for options as well to get our bike back to Europe (Belgium) after visiting "the Stans". Not enough time to drive all the way back at an acceptable pace :-(
I've asked several logistic service providers - amongst others those mentioned here - with offices in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan for quotes but no replies yet.
Just wondering whether some of you have had good experiences in shipping your bike from the Stans since the last post? For now, Kyrgyzstan is the last country on our schedule, but we're quite flexible. Does any of you know if shipping from neighbouring countries (i.e. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, ...) might be cheaper?
And finally: Sambor, are you still offering transport?
Thx for the help!

Hi Vincent,
We will leave in a month and should be back by the end of September. Since we prefer to travel slowly making a round tour definitely seems like overdoing it.
Are you looking to do a similar trip? By any means interested in riding the bike back ;-)

Companies that can organise transport Bishkek-Europe?
Hi all,
We're still looking - rather desperately :-( - for freight forwarding companies that can organise transport for our bike from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Europe. This is what we have so far:
- Ahlers -> in contact by email, however still no quote
- Brucargo -> quote: € 2,812 + € 300 clearance costs in Brussels
- DHL -> swift reply, DHL can't organise this kind of transport
- Eculines -> in contact already, quote to be expected next week
- Euroports -> no reply yet
- GlobalLink -> no reply yet
- James Cargo -> quote... £ 3500 to £ 4000!
- Pan Europa Transport -> no reply yet
So either we got a quote which is very high or we simply don't seem to get one. Has anybody got other suggestions? Good experiences with other companies than the ones mentioned above? All help would be warmly appreciated.
