Motorcycle maintenance course - technical stuff, so it belongs here!!
I'm not sure that this is the right place for this thread, but here goes - there does not seem to be anything for general maintenance points; the sort of thing that comes up, over and over again, no matter what bike you have (Moderator; scope for a new thread area/section??).
I have just done a load of work on a Yam TT600R and have been looking around on the web, here and elsewhere, for good information.
The threads in here have been invaluable AND I came across an online bike maintenance course/advice quite recently (I wish I had seen it a few weeks ago and it would have saved me some grief, but that's another story).
So, I commend this to anyone interested; as the author kind of says at the start, it is multi-functional i.e. everyone can get something out of it:-
Motorcycle Repair Course
Apologies if this has been put on here before; can't really see which forum is the best for this.

Very good resource of info for riders (like me) with not much experience in mechanic and specific terms. Thank you!

Too late, Al Gore got the prize!!!!!!!!!! ROTFL.
Glad you like it, and nice to see that it is of some use: I certainly rated it highly when I first came across this website.
It could be very usefully cross referenced in all that stuff over on the left as part of prepping and maintaining bikes - good generic stuff.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
