Parts and repairs in Xela, Guatemala
We went to this place to find tires in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Great shop with good selection. We thought tires may have to come from Guatemala City, but they kept pulling tires out of the back for us to look at. They seem to have a well-stocked shop for all kinds of parts. There is a good service area in the back. They treated us well. Above the cost of the tires, it was 25 Quetzales for mounting ($3 US).
The owner is Horacio Aguilar Jacobs. He races road bikes and is passionate about motorcycles and runs a good shop. As a bonus he also speaks English well.
The name of the shop is Comercial Aguilar. They have "respuestos, lubricantes y accesorios para motos".

I also visited this bike shop based on Joel's suggestion and found the owner Horacio and his mechanic Alex extremely helpful. Both speak English and are affordable to have anything bike related taken care off.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
