Recovering bike from Nouakchott

Is anyone passing through Mauri back to Europe in next couple of weeks who would be willing to ride or transport my bike back to UK or Europe. Busted a leg on R2 in Mauri, I'm now back in UK with a nail in my leg but the bike is in Nouakchott.

Cheers

Kev (if that's you) - if you don't get any better offers you could buy my bike off me and I'll 'swap' on my way back from the rally. My bike will only be worth about 10p by then, I was going to keep it for posterity but I'm off again in June so unless Dominos want it for their head office it's useless to me

p.s. I've just remembered - we might not have to dump my bike after all - with three bits of steel, a welder and a sense of humour we can turn two of the pizza bikes into a sidecar outfit. Thanks to Ed for the inspiration!

Stevie - going from Sheffield to North Africa in the New Year - don't suppose you are driving through Europe with an empty bike trailer before January the 9th are you? I know it's a long shot.....

pm me with phone no. I don't like to post specific travel details because of security - but I'm happy to let slip that when not travelling, I'm usually found in your neck of the woods or Eccy Rd of an evening if you want to discuss itineraries

Fred Buckingham

Please get in touch.

I have plans to get my own bike down there and back in the immediate future.

Are you still looking for a rider?

I am new to this forum so have no idea about how to contact you personally?

Fred

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
