Cool Boat - Colombia to Panama

Just came over from El Porvenir to Cartagena on "Stahlratte", a huge boat crewed by lovely people. It´s returning to Panama on the 1st December. There is room for up to 17 guests and probably quite a few motos. Cost: $275 pp & $150 per bike. This was a very comfortable and safe sailing option via Las Islas San Blas. Good company and nice German food, especially the coffee! All proceeds go to preseving this 100 year old vessel. PM me for more info. and pictures/telephone numbers etc.

Exclamation Oops!!

Sorry, that should read $275 per person!! I have changed it now.

Hello mate, yeah, customs and all that is taken care of by Manfred, a large German. Cost per bike was $10. I´ve done this trip twice now, and this was easily the best experience.

Sounds sweet.
How do people normally get in touch with him?
How long is the passage?

More info on this

Just got more info on this...

Cost is $275 per person and $250 per bike, departure is 1st December but you have to be in Cartagena by the 28th to sort out paperwork (assuming customs stuff).

More info is at: http://www.stahlratte.org/

Doubt we'll make it there in time, but will give it a try.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
