I think the dating sites would be better for posts like this.

As a foreigner, I have a question regarding English grammar: if Pete had said "a female motorcyclist or A pillion", would that imply that pillions of both sex would be welcome, although motorcyclist themselves ought to be only female applicants? Or the 1st interpretation would be possible even without adding the "A" to pillion?
I mean it because just by adding an "A" to the post the chances to meet a travelling companion in HUBB might exponentially increase. Furthermore, adding "I pay the bills" will definitely boost the chances with some short-of-funds-travel-addict-hubbers to join as long as the bike has pillion hand grips. Needless to say if it is a sidecar.

You don't really require an 'A' in this case given the thread title.

Holy sh*it, if you pay the bills, forget the sidecar, otherwise my wife will want to join US!
BTW, if I recall correctly, there was a couple that started this way: they had just met, then he proposed her to join him as a pillion for a long trip on a motorcycle, then they travelled like 10 years and later started a site. If my bad memory is not wrong, then we all know about them.
So good luck and happy travels! (and beware of misleading PMs, some hubbers already bought there wigs, they were finished when I got to the shop!)

You post your request on a male dominated public forum and somebody (who is possibly female?) makes a valid suggestion. You tell them to mind their own business....
Might I suggest you try a new chat up line, or are you playing hard to get?
Here are some useful lines: 69 chat up lines that are GUARANTEED to work| studentbeans.com
Definitely "Chat forum - no useful content required!"
PS. Just read Hornet's post again and see that he calls himself "Peter". So maybe he's a boy. :-) He might however have a sister who just loves good looking mid 40s roughty toughty Adventure biker types. Please attach a picture!

If you post an ad on a motorcycle-oriented site saying you're looking for a woman, you should expect to get comments.

Section For Singles / Travel Companions
Pete, go for it and good luck to you mate :-)
Stormtrooper seems to be as happy as Larry, possibly countless others too.
For those antagonists who think otherwise, live and let live!
This site is just amazing, it opens avenues globllay for people to make contact, and I thought this is what it's all about. To share ideas, roads, drinks, meals, stories, life and if your lucky enough, love if it comes along.
I put forward; There ought to be a Section For Singles / Travel Companions!

There's always one isn't there?
As for your ill judged remark regarding social skills, it takes one to know one son, so the same applies to you:
Mind your own business.

Thanks fella.
Yes,agree.A section for those who who'd prefer travelling with the opposite sex is, imho a reasonable suggestion, then the moaners would have to find something else to pass judgement on.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
