London to Vladivostok, luckily I speak Russian
Hi Kingvin and all
this summer looks like a time of our lives for many of us :-)
I indeed plan as well to depart London (in May) and head toward Vladivostok.
Just starting to plan the route, look for travelling mates and get all the gear needed. I know that my GS Adventure will be a bit heavy for certain parts of the road, but having a reliable bike is more important for me.
If any of you guys are living in London, let's grab a 'cup of tea' and exchange experiences and ideas.

Columbus74, OldPunk.......
I and my frined (BMW 100GS PD and Suzi Vstrom 650) are leaving in May 8th from Olomouc in Czech Republic. It's RTW - our lifetime trip starting in CZ leads over Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia (maybe Mongolia) to Vladivostok or Magadan or Kamchatka (it depends from transportation possibilities to USA).
What about spend few kilometres on the road together? .....
Co ty na to Marian co povies?

catch me if you can
I'm a bit ahead of some of you guys heading west to east, as I'm already in western Kazakhstan, but if you plan to race across Europe you may catch me up, as I'm not racing anywhere!

If any on you guys get the chance to meet up with Nick en-route, do!!!
He's a great, dependable guy....even if he does ride a yamaha ;o)
I had the pleasure of riding through Europe to Kazakhstan with him, before I took a fall on the roads between Maqat and Maqir. Nick is now heading towards Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan before heading back to Almaty in Kaz.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
