hi Jack, I will be leaving NYC at the end of June and ride to San Francisco along the Lincoln Hwy then head up north to Prudhoe Bay and then all the way south to Ushuaia. Bike ships back to Europe from Buenos Aires mid/late December.
What is your timetable to leave San Francisco and to reach Ushuaia?

Leaving New York in October
I am leaving New York towards the middle of October for a 6 month tour of South America, via Central America. That would put me at the Mexico/Texas border at best, around the 21st of October.. That might be too late for you, but an idea depending on the time you want to make... My rough goal is to spend time around Rio and end up down around Tierra del Fuego around the first of the year, eventually heading back up the west side of the continent in spring...

Free home in San Francisco
Folks
you are welcome to stay at my apartment in San Jose for a night or 2 on your ride to Chile. We have a bedroom and mattress. Availability subject to room being available at that time and not occupied by relatives etc.
Please email me at veerkar AT hotmail DOT com because I do not monitor this board that often. Also mention subject something like Motorcycle rider to Chile or something like that.
Feel free to ask for help.

Flagstaff, Arizona
Jack1010, we live part time in Buenos Aires, but we will be at our ranch very
near
Flagstaff, Arizona July and August so we invite you to stay with us - Flagstaff is
possible on your route.
Please advise estimated time of arrival Flagstaff - our ranch is on the old
Route 66- you might enjoy Cowboy Culture, with an Argentine flare - we have
milongas regularly at the ranch. She is Spanish, I am an ExPat North American.

Hello Growler
The best estimate I can give at this point is mid September and I will cross into Mexico from California and then down the Baja peninsula and be in Panama by Mid December and then down into south America any way keep in touch somewhere along the road our paths might cross

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
