Renthal bars??

Hey all,
Want to fit some Renthal bars to my 1vj. Can anyone suggest which Renthals are the closest bend to the standard ones??
Cheers.

I run a set of Enduro High bars on mine, which are pretty much the same height as the original, but with a little less sweep, and slightly less length in the grip area, due to a more gentle set of bends to achieve the rise. I find them really comfortable, especially when standing.

I ride it to work in Bristol occasionally, so if you want a look, PM me.

Thanks for the info...i'll have to look a little deeper into it i think as i've only just got enough length in the grip area with the standard bars....maybe a set of enduro medium and some risers...
Great pic as well..

You'd be surprised how much you can cram on, though I have had to add a 15mm alloy spacer on each end in order to fit the bark busters. This is only because (due to an arm injury) I have to run the front brake from the left bar using a hydraulic clutch master cylinder. As well as clutch and switchgear, it all gets a bit crowded! With a standard set up, I think it would all fit ok. I've attached a clearer pic. BTW, the serial no on my bars is 613, rather than the 513 which is listed by Renthal for Enduro Highs. I think they may be the Dakar bars, but I can't find a current listing for them.
Glad you like the pic - it was taken in Morocco last April, just out of Mhamid on CS's route MS7/8: an ideal place to play with an XT!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
