Transalp suspension linkage WANTED
hi
suspension linkage needed for 1987 honda transalp (xl600v... with rear drum brake, if that's relevant), but may also be the same as for an africa twin?????
mine broke at the weekend. i don't think mine was an oem part. it looks like an aftermarket (cr*p) lowering kit. it's the bit that attaches the bottom of the shock to the chassis (via engine mounting bolt).
the new price from the honda dealer is stupid money (gbp 160 !!!!!). have already called a few breakers here in the uk, but no luck so far. there are a lot of transalps in france and germany...
pls call on +44 7812 941 867 or email me via the icon above, or of course leave a msg here.
thanks for your help.
cheers

peter
tks for the link.
the second of the 2 items is what i need.
i must call them (i speak german) to see if the parts from their 600 (rear disk) model are the same as on my drum brake bike. the honda part numbers aren't the same, but they may be the same part.
apparently every time honda changes a colour, the part number changes
cheers

should you be interested:
1. got the part needed in germany.
2. neighbour (prat) reversed into bike, knocking it over, causing lots of cosmetic damage...
3. can't get one of the suspension bolts out (the one through the chassis)
4. cos i'm now claiming on the prat's insurance, nothing more is being done to the bike til this issue is settled...
5. so i thought i had a funky winter hack/vladivostok carrying chariot, but actually i have nothing (for the moment)
c'est la vie,
CB
