Christmas and New Years on the Road - where will YOU be?

It's that time of the year again - post where you plan to be here, and make contact with others for a Christmas and New Years to remember!

We'll post the main locations for get-togethers in the December 1 ezine, so please get it in by then.

The main ones in years past have been Ushuaia, Goa, and Cape Town. Where will you be?

hello there,

i am in goa at the moment and will be here over christmas...

i am stayin in anjuna. the beach is not to crowded (thanks to the americans..) and there are some techno parties going on at night, even though i am not a techno fan, but it's fun...

anybody interested to join us for a pint (another biker i met and i) you are most wellcome.

we are staying at a family place near (200m) the beach in the street were the italian restaurant basilico is situated.

there is also an old church near the place. as they do rent out bikes there some bikes are parked in front of the place.

if you can manage come around for a ..

frank

hello again from goa,

doing nothing the whole day is really hard, i tell you.
especially when it's 31 degree celcius and high humidity. i heard about the blizzard in germany, poor guys, seems to be really cold. the odds for white christmas in goa are around 1:12368984500668003645 ;-)))

anyway, i met some bikers here and we (gregor (another german on a bm) and me) try to organise a christmas party on wednesday 26.12.01. when you have time it starts at 19:00. when you go up the beach from anjuna flee market and go to the techno party place at the beach (north of the market), the restaurant-bar right from the party place is where we meet. i have invited some overlanders allready and hope it'll be fun.

at the moment i am still waiting for the spare parts my parents have sent me and gregor with dhl (tyres and a bearing for me and a starter motor and a bearing for gregor). guess what they charged me for the 10kg paket - 1000,- dm (500,- $)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cried for 4 nights.
and there is a reasonable 100% tax to be paid in customs (another 2 nights crying..), so the value of the paket is 127,50dm ;-))))
we hope it'll get here soon as i am keen to hit the road again (to do nothing over a long time is not my style)

otherwise things're allright here, it's just too hot.

have a lovely christmas (and remember - alcohol is not good for you!) and a happy happy new year, i wish you all the best,

frank

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
