Kuala Lumpur shop
from Jurgen Bogaert, Belgium
I'm at the moment in Kuala Lumpur and found a workshop that's already known by some people but it isn't yet on the website. These people are very friendly and helpful. They can get spare parts, tyres, and they are used to work on bigger bikes. I really recommend this shop. The place to be if you have problems on the bike or you need some parts.
The shop name and adress:
SYARIKAT MOTOSIKAL SUNNY
163,Jalan Genting Klang
Setapak, 53300 Kuala Lumpur.
tel:03-4021 1661/4022 0066 Fax:03-4021 1088
E-mail: synnycycle (at) time.net.my
(you might want to try sunny instead of synny, could be Jurgen made a mistake - grant)
Contact person:Sunny K.H.Oh, H/phone: 012-208 7881

I can also highly recommend Sunny Oh, the owner of Syarikat Motosikal Sunny. Sunny is very keen to meet and assist overland motorcycle travellers riding through Malaysia and can help you out with anything for your bike. Sunny gave my Honda Transalp a full service, new tires and ordered a new CDI unit and air filter, which were sent to me after a week in another town in Malaysia overnight. He gave me a big discount on the parts and labor too!
The shop phone numbers and Sunny's mobile number are the same as the previous post. His shop is open from 10am-8pm, Monday to Friday, not sure about weekends.
And Grant is correct about the email address, its sunnycycle (at) time.net.my. But Sunny's mobile number is best for immediate contact as he tends to be pretty busy during the day.
If you are coming through Kuala Lumpur, please contact the KL community also, they are VERY helpful and eager to assist!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
