MAPS: which ones?
I'm planning a route from Vladivostok, through Russia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Europe. I'm wondering what maps other travellers use? I've of course heard of Michelin Maps, and I checked their website but it wasn't helpful. Are they the best?
Are there any maps which indicate fuel-stops along this route?

Hildebrand do a good map for route planning which covers everything from Istanbul to Magadan and Vladivostok. When you get to Russia you can by a Russian road atlas which shows gas stations. We never ran out or even came near running out.We had Acerbis 16l tanks.Luggage wise,we found that army surplus ammo boxes are indestructible. Each bike cost less than $100US to kit out.EVERYONE can weld in Russia so getting things repaired is no problem.
