First you need to find out which countries YOU need visas for.
As Canadians we were able to get the Egypt visa at the border, no need to get it in advance, and I think most of the countries on your list we can do that also.
Australians on the other hand need visas for almost all countries - because Australia requires visas for everyone!
If you can't get it at the border, you can usually get it at the country before. This doesn't usually take long, but it can be a few days to a week or so, so don't be in a hurry!
There is a link on the Links page here http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/links/ to a site that will help you to figure out which countries you need visas for. If in doubt check with the embassies at home first.
Good luck!

We are goingthe other way. And with Australian Passports. Had no trouble getting visas at borders so far in Indonesia, Singapore Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and are about to go into Laos. We have current Carnets for the bikes.

hi
if you begin your trip in israel and have any isreali stamps (or even egypt entry stamp at border with israel) in your passport or on your vehicle docs), the syrians, iranians and pakistanis will NOT let you or your vehicle in!!!
happy travels,

It is virtually impossible to get a visa at the border to go to Syria. I have heard of one guy being successful after a long, long wait... I am talking ten days... Syrian visas generally need to be gotten in YOUR country of origen. Then they will rip you off for road taxes and other fees upon entry into the country.
The country, however, is well worth the visit. Palmyra, Damascus, Crac de Chevalier are all worth a trip.
Have fun

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
