Anyone want to share a container from Iran to India end of October?
 

Hello!

Is anyone looking to share a container from Iran to India sometime between 25th October - 5th November? I am flexible on departure times between these dates so could match up with your schedule.

I price I have been quoted is USD 1,700 per vehicle for 2 vehicles sharing an 40ft HQ container. The container is 2.6 meters tall so you should be able to keep any roof rack/tent on the car. I only need 5 meters of the container so can share with anyone up to 7 meters long - so even a fairly big camper would fit!

Ports are Bandar Abbas, (Iran) to Nhava Sheva Port, Mumbai, (India).
I am currently 3 months into a 2 year RTW trip. Originally I was going to drive through Pakistan, but didn't get the visa before I left home and now don't really have long enough in one country to risk posting my passport back to the UK to get one. I have also been slightly put off by the safety concerns in the border regions of Pakistan. I know people are still doing this route and it all worked out fine, but when I asked a Pakistani friend to be my reference for the visa, she strongly discouraged me from going to these areas.... So, all in all, this shipping option is looking appealing!
