FJ Cruiser questions please

I have done most of my Adventure travels by MC but would like to take the Wife with me on some.
We are looking at an 08 4x4 FJ with 134,00 miles on it. We want it for light duty traveling and back roads such as Big Bend National Park. We will also use as a Ranch Vehicle.

Is 134,000 miles too many?
Are there any weak spots on the FJ's that I need to look for?
Do these cars make good expedition vehicles? I have not seen any mentioned on the HUBB.

Any info would be great. Thanks!

In spite of its comical/cute/different appearance, the FJ is a pretty decent 4x4. It's based on the prado, and has enough ground clearance. It has a very loyal usergroup, and does not have any major flaws. The nags that remain are: blind spots and rear visibility, rear passenger comfort, and early models drive on premium gasoline only.
If you go offroading I'd consider it mandatory to get one with locking rear diff.
