We shipped the truck to Iceland (and the Faeroes) from Denmark this summer using Smyril Line

Trips to Iceland from the UK became more difficult in September as DFDS Seaways pulled the UK to Denmark service which means, at the time of writing, there is no ferry service between the UK and the Nordic countries.

There is a freight alternative from the UK but it's pretty convoluted and arguably not as secure so - for the time being - any UK based trip will probably start with a long drive through France / Benelux countries up to the northern tip of Denmark.

I wouldn't let that deter me though Iceland is fantastic. Our travel blog is here.
