Organised Trip that ends in donation of 4x4
 

I have heard about a company that organises an annual trip for a bunch of people that involves buying a 4x4 for £1500, driving it somewhere (Africa?) and then donating it to the local community before flying home.

Am i crazy in thinking there is such a "scheme" - anyone point me in the right direction?

There is a Plymouth to Dakar rally - it's UK based I believe. The vehicles are donated at the end but it's not restricted to 4X4's.
