Im also planning a similar trip in a Landcrusier L200
Departing Singapore March 2016, my planned route is
Singapore-Malaysia-Bangkok-Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos-Myanmar-China-Mongolia-Russia- Europe.

Which way are you heading?? Happy to compare notes.

Darwin RoRo.
 

RORo's do come through Darwin. I have unloaded new cars off them that have come from SE Asia. New Holden Colorado, manufactured in Thailand for example. The Roro's continue down the west coast (Freo), the bottom over onto Melbourne. They come through every two or three months. As far as putting cars and bikes onto them??? I have only seen defence gear or mining equipment back loaded. Having said that, if they can get on so could anyone else. I will do some digging around with a mate in the import/export game. Keep in mind It would be a long wait to get a vehicle sent from Darwin to SE Asia as it has to do the milk run right around Oz. Standby for more.....
