Hi there I'm new here, a friend and I are thinking about getting home from kl overland, has anyone traveled through Pakistan and Iran recently? This seems to be the only difficult area to pass! Any tips/info would be greatly appreciated. We're thinking of just buying a car or couple of bikes in Malaysia then going for it!

What route are you planing to travel?

As you would probably need to either:
  1. Go through China
  2. Go through Myanmar
  3. Ship to India

China and Myanmar would require extra $ and arranging in advance.

Where are you from? Currently UK Nationals are having a hard time entering Iran without a guide more can be read here in this ongoing thread: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Over...3350814882872/

Also for Pakistan quite often you need obtain the visa in your home country...
