Share Sea Transport -India to South East Asia
 

Hi,

We are a group of overland car travellers. 6 vehicles of ours will be going from India (Chenai) to South East Asia (Port Klang-Malaisia) around End of February. As we are a growing group we are thinking about chattering a boat for our group. And of course the larger the group the more we can share the costs.

We are interested if the total cost is below the normal price, i,e we've been quoted in total $900 max for a 4x4 from Kolkata to Port Klang ($400 for shipping and max $500 for all port fees and clearance).

My friend who works in shipping says $900 is the max cost for shipping from Kolkata or Chennia if your quoted more than this then your being taken advantage of.
