2007 New Zealand Trip
 

The wife & I are planning a 6 month trip to wander round NZ in late 2007.
We are currently debating the options of sending our bikes from the UK, hiring over there or buying/selling in NZ. It is our intention to not just stick to tarmac so DS bikes are the way for us.
Anybody got any recomendations or advice?

I'd buy - bikes are cheap here, as 2nd hand importing is not protected. You could even bring your own luggage and connect it to the bike you buy.
