2010 Royal Enfield - how to import from india
Hi All
Please guide me import Royal Enfield 2010 to Melbourne. Any links / suggestions will be highly appreciated Thanks |
Is this permanent import, or just for travelling?
Being bored at work I did a quick search online ... For permanent import a good place to start would be HERE, because it's under 25 years old it doesn't count as a classic so if you're not confident the best route would be finding an agent who deals with vehicle imports to help you get the paperwork in order. I couldn't find anything clear regarding if an Indian market bike from 2010 would be eligible to import or not. If it's for under a year then a CPD Carnet is required, apparently, which covers the bike for up to a year. |
Looking at the list prices on Royal Enfield Australia's website, between shipping and import duties you'd almost certainly be worse off importing a 2010 from India than buying new in a Melbourne showroom!

I have a 1965 Royal Enfield, 530cc with just 160 km on the clock which I imported approximately 20 years ago. It was restored by Maddan Motors in New Delhi to my order. It has electronic ignition which makes life easy.
I would sell it quite cheaply if you are interested. I am in Melbourne. My email is dhmottram@gmail.com David |
