Hey Paul, just wondering if you are still on track to start grr. I am currently in broome heading for grr, and looking for some guys to ride with/help me pick up my bike if I drop it on a river crossing ;)

I did the gibb on my triumph explorer 1200 about three weeks ago. I had it fully loaded. I was on my own and i have fairly limited experience but apart from the expected corrugations and the odd sandy section it was fantastic. The river crossing were a blast but the river rocks could catch you out. I just deployed my feet and took it easy. Have a ball.
