I'm flying from NZ to Perth where I want to hire a bike and ride to Broome and back.

Would be grateful to get recommendations as to where I can hire a bike in Perth.

Try these people: www.bikeroundoz.com, I've had nothing but an excellent experience with them, and if you're flying in to Perth they'll pick you up from the airport and give you a nights accommodation into the bargain.
