Hello,
I am coming to NZ in January and have a proposition for someone. I had a motorbike trade set with a guy that had a bike in NZ but he backed out. I am in Southern California and have a VStrom 1000 that I would like to trade for a similar type bike in NZ. I will be in your country for almost a month and am proposing a trade, and you can come to the states and ride my bike anytime you wish for a month. My bike is fully insured and all you would need to do is fly over and ride. I will trade for most bike 650cc twins or above. Let me know your thoughts and we could chat more. Cheers for now. I think I saw your post on ADVrider as well? Anyhow Greg, I am booked to fly into LA late June 2016 for a July ride all over. Problem is I'm keen on the Continental Divide and Baja with a big massive loop to connect them. Your bike would be great on the tarmac and heaps of weight and drama on the Continental Divide. I normally ride a Buell Ulysses XP here (only one in NZ and u can't ride it, haha) for sport touring, but I have a swiss army BMW g650x challenge that will go anywhere lightly and comfortably. So do u know anyone with a similar bike that I could use next year? If so I'm keen on the swap. Alternatively we might b able to work out a value for borrowing my bike? Just an idea, let me know...
p.s. happy to help with travel plans and i've toured much of Europe and 9000kms of the Himalayas of India/Nepal/Bhutan, so some experience anyhow. |
I forwarded your email to a friend of mine that is interested. She is an adventurer, rides different bikes all over, and rides well. We rode down the Baja last year together, her on a GS650.
