Guide books for rural Australia
 

Hi all,

We just finished our travels from Belgium to South Africa by car and just made it down to Australia.

Just wondering what kind of guides we can use here?
We like Lonely planet, but do they also cover the more "rural-not-touristic-places"? Like do they cover for example the dessert parts, Simpson dessert,....?

Any suggestions for better guides or where we can get some more info about the more rural Australia?
