Peer2Peer Bike Rental - East Coast VIC/NSW
 

Greetings all,

When I travel to the US from the UK, to save costs of shipping my own bike i use a service called "Ridershare" which is a P2P Motorcycle Rental Scheme..

Is anyone aware of something similar in Victoria? the costs of putting a $2500 bond on most rental bikes really sours the taste for renting from one of the major guys like EagleRider.

Anyone have any experience of something like this?

Never heard of anything like that, the reason they ask for such a big bond is because guys ride off into the outback & break down & the cost of recovery is massive, serious dollars.

Many people drive right across the country & simply dump the bike at the airport & fly home, rental company`s got fed up with this & slapped big bonds on rentals to discourage the practice & to cover the cost of recovering the bike.
