Steel crate available in Melbourne
My R1150GSA has just cleared quarantine (phew!) in Melbourne and I'll be unpacking it on Monday. I shipped it by sea from USA in a used steel crate that BMW uses for big LT's. The crate's a fairly solid piece of engineering and seems too good to chuck away. Great for sea freight, probably too heavy for airfreight. If anyone wants it, it's available for free, otherwise the freight company will put it in the rubbish skip.
Let me know if anyone out there's interested....the freight company warehouse is at Tullamarine. Regards, Grant F |
Big Red,
Maybe interested in your shipping crate, but won't need it until November, when we plan to air freight our 1100GS from Melbourne to Santiago. Any freight forwarding agent details you may have would be greatly appreciated. Will be in Melbourne in October, would be good to catch up for a beer and chat with regard to the Americas...please drop us a mail: emandhame at yahoo dot com Cheers, Hamish & Emma http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tstories/hameandem/ |
No worries, but I think the steel crate might be overkill for Airfreight.
meanwhile, I'll drop you an email direct. Regds, Grant F |
