Renting a motorcycle in South Africa
 

I'm looking to rent a bike in S.Africa for about 2 weeks.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a rental company?

Where are you planning to start? I have rented twice from SAMA Tours in Pretoria and have been very happy with their bikes and service. They will pick you up from OT airport if you need.

i was probably going to fly in to Joburg as it's the cheapest hub to fly into; just curious, did you experience any problems when you returned the bike? are they flexible on their rental rates (ie. throwing in free sidebag rentals)?

No, they were cool, but then I didn't damage the bike!:innocent: However, they check the bike carefully, as do all rental agencies

They did chuck in pannier rental (I think) but I suppose this depends on the length of the rental. They also are happy to look after your luggage gratis, unlike some...
