WANTED: Bike to buy in Chile or Colombia (End of Dec / Start of Jan)
 

Hi!

I would like to ride along the Panamercian Highway in January/February. I am not fixed if from South to North or from North to South. I would like to buy a motorcycle somewhere in Colombia or Chile.

For the bike itself, I am not fixed, I just need it to be reliable!

If we talk about SA plated bikes:

Colombia is the country where it is easiest to buy a bike as non resident.

But, wherever you buy it. Plan to sell it in the same country.
=> You don't have to decide north or south.
Return to Colombia or Chile to sell the bike.

There is way to "sell" the bike outside Colombia. If the buyer rides it to Colombia and arrange the change of ownership there. Then the buying process is completed.

Well, that is regulated by each country. Or for USA, for each state.
