Really glad you're making some progress. I have a ticket to fly to India on December 10 to do basically what you're doing... so I'm really interested in how you have managed to buy a bike and get it registered in your name. I'm planning on buying a RE Himalayan (I'm only 5'7", so height should be right for me) but in particular would appreciate some details on how you dealt with the paperwork.
Thanks |

As for the registration I have found many ways to not do it buuuut only one to have the bike in your name. I'm in the process of making a how-to video on how to get this monumental task completed and not take 3 months like it has for me. I'll be posting that video soon on my Instagram and your welcome to check that out and then if you have any other questions shoot me a DM there buddy [emoji1690] @natethenomad Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk |
Buying a bike in India
Well, last week in Uganda I had a moto accident and broke my leg :( . A moto-taxi cut directly in front of me (they are all crazy) and I went right into him. The bike fell on my leg. I flew back to Panama that same day and had surgery on Friday. We'll see how the recovery goes, but I might need to postpone the trip for a month or so. But definitely still doing it!
Have you been able to put together something on buying the bike in your name yet? Please let me know if you put it on Instagram or somewhere else. It would definitely be the way to go so that I can sell the bike at the end of the trip. Thanks, |
I know Nate was able to buy a bike in his name in India but it took him around 100 days and many many tries and lots of frustration and grey hairs. He ended up buying a Hero X-pulse 200 cc bike.
