Acerbis tank for F650 Funduro
 

Hi.
I just bought myself a F650 Funduro `98 and is about to equip it for a India-Europe tour commencing next summer (if Pakistan and Iran is possible to ride through...). I want to put a larger tank on my bike. Touratech offers an Acerbis 27 l replacement tank. Anyone have any hands-on experience with this tank? Any problems filling it all the way up? Does it occupy any valuable space at the front of the seat?

I used this tank on a Libya trip in 98 (but still ran out of fuel!) and its amazing how you get the extra capacity without extra bulk. It fitted well but I seem to recall the fuel cap was a bit crappy in the thread dept. See also the fuel filter mod/bodge on p.42 of the book.
