AfricanQueens - Spezialteile für Enduros und Reiseenduros. has tank+
Welcome to Jesse Luggage Systems has alu. panS.+ maybe there will be a HP2 Adventure... evolution R80 G/S... R100GS Dakar |
IMHO the air damping system is good for low weight, but for travelling I'd feel on the safer side with a normal shock. Never mind the additional weight, but if the seals break on the air shock, you're buggered. With a shock leaking oil you can carry on for hundreds of miles to get back to civilisation...

Thanks for info

Thanks for the info. Will try and order as soon as possible but still no idea of price.... You must admit it looks nicer than touratech or Africanqueen tank! Safe riding Steve |

HP2 Tank
I'll be sticking a larger tank on my HP2. For the extra few pounds in weight, I'd rather have the choice. If I want light, I just won't fill it to the top! The4 HP2 is so much lighter than the New Adventure, I had both but just sold the Adventure, as it is a very heavy bike still......

HP2 Tank have arrived and is as nice as it looks on the images, maybe even nicer. Very well made with only high quality parts fitted.
Price EXCLUDING German VAT will be EURO1,239.00 and some cents. Will have it fitted in two weeks time and shall post some images here. |
Finally the tank is fitted and taking just under 24 litre to fill it is superbly balanced and keep the optic and handling of the HP2.

Hi gsworkshop,
Any issues or complications with the installation? Anything you would do different to avoid issues? Thanks. Dale |
Installation as smooth as butter. Instructions is well written just a few small points omitted on less important stuff but eventually one figure this out for yourself. No modification needed and all clamps, nuts & bolts supplied to do the job well. Only hitch was that we broke the silly torx key supplied by BMW to loosen the HP2 seat.
One real useful piece of information is to use the small plastic rings below the white nylon spacers on the front mounting of the top cover. These are made to grip the bolt thread and keep everything together to aid the installation of the spacers hidden by the cover where it is impossible to hold them in place in any other way. If you get stuck you can mail me as I took some pictures that will help clear up some points. Even though I am sure it will help, you do not need to have the HP2 workshop manual or special tool to remove the large metal ring holding the fuel pump in place. |
More pictures?
GS Workshop-
Do you have an idea when Klaus will start shipping tanks to the rest of us? I'm in the USA, so not only is it expensive to phone Klaus, I have to stay up into the very early hours of the morning to call when he's around...and to be honest, my German language skills are terrible. Thanks a million for posting about the HPN tank- it is great to actually hear from someone who has actually touched the mythical HPN tank! Any chance for more pictures? Cheers- Aaron Seattle, USA HP2 (hopefully with HPN tank soon!) R80G/S (with HPN tank) |
I am running out of of space to post more images, have to delete others to post more. Grant can't you grant me some more image space please?
You will just have to mail Klaus, I will send a message to anybody interested with his e-mail address. Be patient tough, and it is a good idea to resend your message if you did not get a reply in one week. Small company with real personal attention to their clients, problem is that they have more clients than they can handle so things does sometimes take time. |
hpn tank
looking forward to seeing more pics on the install. How long did u have to wait. I have like everyone else been sending faxes/emails with no reply as yet. Good to know how many kms you get out of the tank.

Keep sending your mails, once Klaus is onto your order it does not take long but make sure you send a reminder every week or else your order might get to old and he does not get back to it at all.
I BELIEVE THIS IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR THE QUALITY OF WHAT THEY PRODUCE. The moment they start to expand their business and employ a 100 staff, quality drop and they will just become another TT or supermarket. |
