BMW parts in Canada

Howdy: I just bought another project, it like a sickness isn't it? Anyhow its a 2000 R1150 GSa with lots of miles. looks to have been well worked but the engine sounds tight, it started and ran well, no slop in the drive train and all the bits are more or less there so its in my garage now. The ABS light is flashing and the rear brake is very weak, it needs a bunch of bits and pieces freshened up including the Ohlins shocks from and rear beside the normal maintenance stuff.

I intend to take it to the southern US with me later this winter for a couple of months and do some exploring in Nevada-Utah in the less treacherous areas (will be bringing my enduro bike too for that stuff).

So that is the long way around to my question, where is the best place to but parts for this beast in Canada, my last couple of beemers left me less than thrilled with car dealers who hold their noses and sell you bike parts. I am sure this has already been asked but I can't seem to find the search function in the multitude of options available on this site. Thanks for having me!

UK parts suppliers .. can be cheaper than from a bm shop. And there is not much delay in shipping either. They have genuine bm parts .. and some alternatives .. some times the alternatives are better, sometimes they are cheaper too.

Get the ohlins serviced .. locally .. there should be someone good for that.
