Charger for Sat nav
Hi
I am trying to work our a cheap charging system for the Tom Tom Rider. My bike (R1200GS) has a mount for the sat nav(non charging). Instead of buying another mount with charger Costing (£45 + P & P + fitting cost) can I use the DIN socket in the bike to charge the sat nav on the go via the electrical charging socket at the bottom of the sat nav. Please advice Thanks |
Charger for Sat nav
Yes
When the dock failed on numerous occasions when I was using TT I ended up just plugging in a 12v on the bike and plugging it into the bottom flap Just he careful in heavy rain as once that flap is open it can ingest water I would double check to see if that input is 12 or 5v. My memory is not as good and this was back in 2010 when I did so I do not have access to my cables so I cannot give exact data, but it can be done easily Sorry for the ramble |
