Clunk in the take up
I have a serious clunk-worst when moving slowly in first gear-as I let the clutch in and out at biting point. It sounds like it's coming from the transmission. Anyone got any ideas.

Do you have ABS? It tests itself as you move off in first gear. Makes a clunk noise every time after started.

I have ABS but it's not the self test 'ratcheting'.
The nose I have is constant. As I let the clutch in and out from biting point, whilst moving slowly, it sounds like a hammer hitting the drive shaft. A bit worrying really. Goose. www.gooseontheloose.com |
Friend of mine suffered that this year.
Errors were: * final drive bearings * shaft bearings (the cross-joint) * linkage bearing of final drive to shaft * heavily run down gearbox Status: acute repair - jamming of shaft and final drive emminet Costs: > 1000EU ------------------ Albert Lindberg, D.C. heal@ebox.tninet.se |
