Cylinder Corrosion on a BMW1150GSA
 

The paint is bubbling on a small spot on the outside of my blue magnesium cylinder head. The bike is left outside, but usually covered with a heavy duty Oxford Rainex cover. The bikes a 2005, in 8 out 10 condition any solutions etc.

They all go like this over time, another well put togerther BMW part , you think yours are bad , you should see mine on my 03 GSA

It is a cosmetic problem. If it bothers you, there are three choices that I can think of depending on how much you want to spend. Live with it, remove sand and repaint, or replace with new. The bike will run the same no matter which choice you make.
