Diagnostic tool for overlanding?
Hi all, I'm about to head off on a 6 month journey in South America in a few months time. I'm wondering if it makes sense to get a BMW diagnostic tool for my F800GS and my riding buddy on a 310GS?
The connection cable, the bluetooth connection and then the license for the software seems a bit expensive, but at the end of the day if it can pinpoint what the issue with the bike is, then I can take it straight to the shop to fix it then it might actually save a lot of time. Has anyone been on a journey and found it useful for finding out whats wrong with the bike? Would love to hear from anyone. Thanks in advance. |
If you want a tool you have to pay the asked price and in comparission to go to a shop its cheap :)
I use the app and I am happy with it on my trips. You can test certain parts (e.g. the abs module to narrow down your search), tell your mechanic at home the error code to get help. |
