F650GS,Fault,India
The fan on my wife's 650GS isn't coming on the the bike has boiled over. I have put a 12v supply to the fan and it spins up OK,checked the wiring and fuses and all is good so i'm thinking it may be the sensor? Looking at the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual the sensor looks more than just a simple switch, but it only has 2 wires going to it. If it is the sensor there's no way I'm getting one in India so was thinking of getting a 12v switch from a car accessory shop and operating the fan manually? The only thing that has changed is I removed the thermostat a week ago because it was running hot, but it must have been the fan not working rather than the stat.

solved, sort of!
When the bike was running I unplugged the sensor and the fan came on, it stays on all the time the bike is running obviously but at least it's on and cooling it.

Ah, that was what I was going to suggest...
