g650gs shut down
 

The bike just quit running while cruising down the highway. Fuses okay, battery okay, its just dead no spark, no ignition dead. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Side stand switch faulty? Though this will be tested if you are in neutral and try to start

Yes, tried starting the bike in neutral with kick stand down up sideways, and nothing. It must be something like the stator?

Or the engine kill switch, or the "in gear" sensor switch (if it has one),

Sure sounds like the sidestand switch. But could be something else. Go here for lots of info: F650.com
