Gear for a R1200R for a RTW
 

My wife and I arrived in Anchorage with a custom BMW R850R sidecar rig that we have ridden from NE China and traded it for a R1200R. We are planning to take it to South America and then to Africa and perhaps back to China.

The problem is that I wanted to fit a set of Al panniers but no one seems to have the frame for the 1200R. In fact no one seems to make much in the way of accessories for the R except BMW.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You might consider making your own - there are threads in here about such activity and you can use the search facility to find whatever key words that you like.
As ever, this is a trade off between paying cash for, in this case, the BMW product or spending your time working with your own hands (although you can get a workshop to assist if you are not too happy with that!).
Time rich, cash poor or vice versa?
