Hagon shock adjustment
Hi - I have a Hagon shock on my R100GS.
It has an alan key damper adjustment with "+ & -" above it, and a big preload (I assume) adjuster collar above the spring. Currently in the middle of the thread. Does anyone know what kind of setting I should use on it for riding solo with luggage++ ? Cheers Marc |
The alan key damper adjustment:
Set it to +, to make the shock harder (and therefore slower to get into 'normal' position). Basically: If the shock shows "pogo-stick" behaviour, turn the thing more towards + position. (I'd go 1/2 turn at a time until it feels right). The "adjuster collar": Wind it up a bit if you travel with luggage. Again - it's a "feeling" thing. On a R100GS, the shock is in a very comfortable position to adjust, so just play around with it until you're happy. Start with the "adjuster collar". Then do the allan key thing later. |
