Hepco Becker Crash Bars for 1200GS
Any body knows how good are the Hepco Becker crash bars for the 1200GS compared with the Touratech ones. Is it possible to service the bike without removing the bars? How about protection-wise?
I'm talking about the engine and the tank guards. Thanks for the info. |
My bars were already fitted when I bought the bike.
Don't have to move them for service. Been down the road once (very small off at 10mph) - slightly bent the bottom bar under the left hand cylinder; no damage, rubber mallet fixed it. Can't comment about comparison to other bars sorry. Regards Mick |

Thanks both for the info. I think I'm going to go for the H.B. ones since they're more affordable. At speeds over 10 mph any bar is going to bend anyway.

I have the Hepco Becker crash bars on my 1200 for 2 years now and I think there are great ! :thumbup1:
They did (and still do) a good job protecting the heads in few tip over in the dirt. The only two downsides I have fund was : They don't like humidity and rust easily (May have to be repaint every 3/4 years). and they are reducing a bit the ground clearance. I believe that the TT doesn't do any of these. But I still like them very much and wouldn't change them. Cheers, Fredo. http://w1.bikepics.com/pics/2006%5C0...658030-800.jpg |
