R100GS Technical Manual
 

Anyone be able to advise me on what would be (if available) a good technical/maintenance manual for the R100GS. This is so I can 'tear-down' and rebuld the bike.

Clymer publishes a good manual. Also, check out www.airheads.org for good technical tips.

Not sure if you can get them where you are - but the Haynes manual is good.

I used it to rebuild my R100GS - no problem (but haven't used it for the engine/gearbox/clutch yet - although I have stripped and rebuilt just about everything else)

The Clymer is bigger and more expensive, but more comprehensive. I found the Haynes more compact and easy to use.

Thanks Guys, I don't think I've seen 'Clymer' technical books here in Oz, but I'll try - you don't happaen to have the ISBN (that's book geek talk for the part number of the book - I think) for the manual do you?
As for the web site, yep, I've already checked it out.

I've found out you can get the Clymers technical manuals here in Oz, and yep they are expensive AUD$100 (USD $50). I've checked out the websites that have been listed and they are good for what I want, (ooh-baby! bring on those 'skinned' knuckles).
