R80G/S Disc
In addition to the exellent info i found here
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb...ML/000434.html I was wondering if anyone had more detailed info on manafacturing an adapter plate for a 320mm disk? I emailed MAP & was told they dont make them ,does anyone else? In addition to not working very well my pads drag , I guess this means the pistons need rebuilding? |
Any machinist can easily make an adapter plate - it's dead simple. All you need to do is calculate the amount of off-set (thickness of the plate) depending on your caliper and disk.
If your pistons drag, yep, the caliper needs rebuilding. If you're not sure how, take it in to any brake specialist, there's nothing special about it. It probably needs a good cleaning and new seals. But take it apart first, it may be corroded inside and need replacing. Which is a good excuse to spalsh out on a better caliper http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif |
